"It'sgoingtobedifficulttogetbackonourfeetjustintermsofrespondingtoreliefneedsasthemonsoonisawayinjustaboutfourweeksorfiveweekstime,sowereallyhavetothinkhardabouthowwerespondtotheneedsofthepeople."

Thegovernmentandaidagencieshavebeenworkingtoprovidefood,waterandshelter.Butrescueeffortshavebeenslowedbyaftershocks,badweatherandproblemsreachingisolatedpartsofthecountry.
Lastweek,theU.N.saiditneeds$415milliontohelpthepeopleofNepal.U.N.officialssaidtheyhadreceivedonly$22millionindonations.
