Manyoftheplanes,suchasthisBoeingB-17FlyingFortress,calledTexasRaidersbelongstoaTexas-basednon-profitorganizationcalledCommemorativeAirForce.
CiviliancorporatepilotBuddyCookseyhasbeenflyingitsvintageplanesatairshowsformorethan40years.Hesaysthegrouphasover11,000membersbutisalwayslookingfornewfansreadytodevotetimeandworktorestorationandupkeepofoldplanes.

Cookseysayseveryonceinawhile,aboxofsparepartsisdiscoveredinsomewarehouse,butmanyofthemhavetobemanufacturednew,whichisnotcheap.Buthesaysitisimportanttokeeptheseplanesflyingasatributetoallwhofoughtinthem.
