Somebadhabitsofthestudents’learninghabitsarealsooneofthefactorsoftheinadequacy.Chinesestudentstendtoseparatevocabularymemorizing,grammar,listening,speaking,reading,andwriting,thereforetheirEnglishisalso“broken”inthisway.Inaddition,theyaregenerallyreluctanttopracticespeaking.Thishasgreatlycontributedtothe“dumbEnglish”ofChinesestudents.
ThesuccessofthecollegeEnglisheducationreformrequireseffortsofbotheducatorsandstudents.TheuniversitiesshouldencouragestudentstospeakEnglishintheirdailycommunicationsandholdmoreactivitieswiththepurposeofpromotingstudents?speakingofEnglish.TeachersshouldfocusonattractingstudentswithcharmsandinterestofEnglishintheirclasses.Studentsshouldtrytobeparticipantsofthelearningactivitiesratherthanpassivereceptors.
