Step III: Scanning

Ask the students to scan all the names of the person appeared in the text and find out what did they do to the amber room. Join the correct parts of the sentences together. (exercise 1 on page 2)

After do the above exercise ,teacher give students a picture of the people in the text and let the students try to tell theclue of the story according to the persons. (PPT 9)

Step IV: Skimming

Ask students to skim the passage and complete exercise 2 on page2.

Just now you have learnt the story of The Amber Room, now suppose you are a guide of The Amber Room, how will you intrduce the amber room to the visitors?

( Give students about 3 minutes to have a discussion in group of four ,then ask some of groups to make a role play before all the class.)

Homework

1. Read the story of The Amber Room again after class.

一、指导思想：

新的学年，我将按照"规范教学管理，创新教学方式，突出教研重点，注重教研实效"工作思路展开各项教学工作。针对我们班新生普遍英语底子差，基础薄薄弱的实际情况，老师们要坚持用"夯实基础，狠抓双基，使用导学案教法，改进学法，激发兴趣，提高能力"的指导思想来指导自己的工作。

主要教学内容：高一必修1、必修2（1-2模块）的内容。

二、具体安排：

高一必修1及必修2（1-2模块）共8个模块，计划安排每一模块用10课时，新授8课时，练习2课时，共用4个月的时间。

三．具体措施：

1.注意教学的承上启下

为了使学生打牢基础不至于出现知识断层，本学期开学要重新学习音标，另外要有计划的把学生初中学过的但掌握不好的时态、句式、定语从句、状语从句、动词不定式以及部分掌握不好的词汇、短语、句型分插于12单元的新课教学中。

2、认真研究新课程标准

要认真研读新课程标准，尤其与旧大纲不同的地方，认真研究新教材，采取用导学案的方法给学生上课，着重培养学生们独立自主的学习能力，培养小组合作精神，在集体备课的基础上认真备课、上课，认真进行自习辅导和批改作业。

4、听评课

坚持教学研究和相互听课，探究如何听评课。我要和其他教师互相学习，取长补短。

5、教案的书写

本学期高一备课组要继续探讨如何规范书写教案。备课组活动中将把教案细分，逐一探讨。如：如何正确书写教学目标。教学方法有哪些等等。

四．夯实基础

1.听力

从高一就开始就对学生进行听力训练。每周坚持上听力课，另外每周至少两次利用课余时间给学生集体放听力，并鼓励学生课余时间多泛听。

2、单词

单词一直是学生的难点、薄弱点，直接影响学生综合能力的提高，在教学中要重视词汇教学，狠抓单词的记忆与巩固以及对词汇的意义与用法的掌握。使学生掌握科学的单词记忆方法和养成勤查词典的习惯。

3、阅读

阅读理解能力的培养是高一教学的重点，也是高考的重头戏。要有计划的指导学生掌握科学的阅读方法和策略。加强学生的课外泛读及课后阅读训练。

4．口头表达

要注重在教学中强化口语的训练，培养学生灵活运用目标语言的能力。课外开展英语角活动。

5、作文训练

1）每周一次作文训练，题材由备课组统一。

要求：方法力求多样化，并能及时进行讲评。

2）鼓励学生写英文日记，对个别英语特差的学生尽量多批改、多指导。

在本学期的英语教学中，我主要坚持以下理念的应用：

1、坚定不移的实行循环大课堂，突出学生主体，让学生成为学习的主人。

2、面向全体学生，关注每个学生的情感，激发他们学习英语的兴趣，帮助他们建立学习的成就感和自信心。

3、尊重个体差异，让学生在老师的指导下构建知识，提高技能，磨练意志，活跃思维，展现个性，发展心智和拓展视野；

二、本学期的重点工作

（一）、全面做好初高中衔接工作

初中和高中在教学对象、教学内容、教学要求、教学方式和学习方式方面均存在着一定的差异，因此，帮助新生了解这些差异，引导他们尽快适应高中的学习与生活，是摆在我面前的迫在眉睫的任务。具体来说我要做好以下工作：

（二）作好知识的衔接（词汇补充、语法回顾）。在开新课之前，拿出一周左右的时间搞好高初中之间的词汇衔接和语法衔接，为开新课做好准备。

课时安排：

第一、二课时：音标（安排在第一单元教学之前）。目的是培养学生的拼读单词和自学单词的习惯和能力。

第三课时：词类与句子成分。例句必须经典、简练、上口，以学生易于熟悉记忆与再现为准。

第四课时：语法线索：在整体梳理初中所学语法现象的基础上，以一段"自我介绍"涵盖初中主要的语法内容。

第五、六课时：教材编排特点分析、学习要求和学习方法指导。

另外，在其中可以穿插一些小型测试（如词汇测试等）、写作或阅读等内容。了解学生掌握英语知识情况。

（三）、优化使用教材，精编学案

对教材的利用无法做到面面俱到，但要抓住重点，大胆取舍。

一方面学习教材，研究教材，理解教材各个栏目的编写意图，最大限度地发挥各个栏目的作用。另一方面要要根据教学目标和课时及学生实际对其进行大胆的取舍和重组，是教材为我所用，而不是被教材牵着鼻子走。变"教教材"为"用教材教"。

要按照外语学习规律来编制学案：首先列出本节课的知识点，挖掘各知识点的联系，设计突破每一个知识点的方案，最后按照难度，重点来排序，确定四讲四不讲，防止以做题代替学案。在教学时应根据本班学生的实际情况，运用可行的教学策略，引导学生参与讨论解题的过程、思路和方法，培养和训练学生对问题的思辩能力。每个模块设计词汇学案，阅读学案，语法学案，复习学案和周测共五个学案。
