随着经济的增长，人民生活水平的提高，以及汽车价格的下降，在大城市出现了"购车热"。虽然汽车作为一种繁荣的象征，给我们的生活提供方便，但中国人对私家车的狂热是不实际的。
由汽车所带来的严重社会问题不容忽视。由汽车造成的污染是目前最重要的问题。汽油的燃烧会产生大量的有毒气体，这些有毒气体会破坏保护我们免受有害射线伤害的臭氧层。因此，城市的人们往往使更多的城市遭受塞车之苦。交通事故是由汽车造成的另一个严重问题。统计表明，成千上万的人每年都在交通事故中死亡或受伤，而且数量仍在上升。此外，更多的车意味着更少的空间。这只能增加人口和有限空间的压力。
考虑上述因素，我认为现在应在大城市遏制私家车的热潮。作为一个人口大国，中国应该大力发展清洁、方便、快捷的公共交通。
