HemingwayandKennedynevermet.However,Kennedylikedthewriter’swork.KennedywrotetoHemingwayforpermissiontousethenovelist’sexpression"graceunderpressure."HemingwaywastoosicktoacceptaninvitationtoKennedy’sinaugurationinJanuaryof1961.Thewriterkilledhimselflaterthatyear.
TheshowalsoincludesHemingway'sfirstshortstory.Itwaspublishedin1917inahighschoolmagazine.VisitorscanalsoseelettersbetweenHemingwayandotherwritersatthetime.
